> there are other KDE packages still in main but I don't believe they are supported
I think this is misleading. if it's in main, it's supported. It's not that everything has to be converted to use qt5 now, but things should be able to co-exist. Knowingly breaking qt4 stuff in main is the wrong thing. And this probably means you'll need a separate python-qt5 package too. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xcb-util-image in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1130281 Title: [MIR] qtbase Status in “qtbase-opensource-src” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Status in “xcb-util-image” package in Ubuntu: New Status in “xcb-util-keysyms” package in Ubuntu: New Status in “xcb-util-renderutil” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: To enable Qt5 and QML apps to use the online accounts APIs, we need to start building libaccounts-qt against qt5, that would require qtbase5-dev and qt5-qmake in main. The whole libaccounts/libsignon stack has been ported to qt5 and can be built for both qt4 and qt5 during the transition to qt5 by default. Qt5 is the natural progression from Qt4, the Ubuntu SDK is Qt5/QML, there will be much demand for this.
