This is surprisingly difficult to reproduce with a static example. But here's a 
surefire way to crash for me with raw unicode input
0xd39, 0xd4b 0x0d02
(in gtk, ctrl+shift+u d39 space ctrl+shift+u d4b space ctrl+shift+u d02 space 
-> crash)
