There are several really annoying side-effects of this bug.

1. When the mouse is over the Thunderbird main window (full screen), the
Ubuntu key doesn't bring up the Ubuntu launcher. (this bug)

2. When Thunderbird's Reply/New button is clicked, the Reply/New window
is created and displayed UNDER the Thunderbird window, making it
difficult to reply, much less know if the window was created. (Leaving
the user to wonder if he should press the Reply/New button again.

3. The ALT-tab key combo does not cycle through the windows when the
mouse is over the Thunderbird window. This makes it really difficult to
find the hidden Reply/New window when it's under the Thunderbird window.
As a corollary, it's really difficult to find any other window because
the window cycler doesn't get activated.

4. I have to move my mouse to the other display (when one is attached)
to use the Ubuntu key or ALT-tab. To get to a hidden Reply/New window, I
have to hit ALT-tab until the Thunderbird icon is selected, wait a few
seconds for icons for all the Thunderbird windows are displayed, and
select the Reply/New window. Sometimes (only sometimes) will the window
pop to the front of the Thunderbird window. I usually have to do the
ALT-tab-cycle-wait 3 or 4 times before the Reply/New window will
actually be visible. ALT-tab works fine if the mouse is over a non-
Thunderbird window (except VirtualBox), and the Reply/New window will
pop to the front every time when selected.

5. If the Reply/New window is above the main Thunderbird window, and I
use ctrl-ALT-arrow to move to another Ubuntu Workspace, then move back
to the Workspace that has Thunderbird, the Reply/New window is re-hidden
under the Thunderbird window. If the Reply/New window is on top of a
different app, e.g., Firefox or a shell window, it remains there after
switching Workspaces and switching back.
