Hello Aron, or anyone else affected, Accepted im-switch into quantal-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/im- switch/1.22ubuntu2.2 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Fixing im-switch in Precise and Quantal is part of the solution to this problem, something else must be done for those who haven't got the chance to upgrade to the fixed version.
