Looking at the outside of the system, the external audio jacks  are in
this order:

Mic ___    Headphone ___

However, on testing, it appears that they are either mislabled, or the
outputs are reversed internally.  I had to plug the headphones into the
Mic jack to hear sound, and plug the mic into the headphone jack to
record sound.
