Title: X crashed and fell to a text only screen, with my password displayed in plain text Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I have installed 12.10 from the net install CD. I installed base system only and afterward install xserver-xorg and xfce4. Today I was writing code in Geany and my screen went blank. After a few seconds I saw some text appear and in the middle of the screen where the login box normally appears, I saw my password displayed. I cannot reproduce because it's a random crash of the X system.
