Ubuntu 11.4 -> Synaptics touchpad left click button working randomly

Bug description:
Hello!
The left button of my Synaptics touchpad (on a Vaio VGN-CS11S) works
randomly (i.e. sometimes yes and sometimes no) ever since I installed
Ubuntu 11.4. I've already made some tests:
- Same problem happens using liveCD
- Same problem happens with or without NVIDIA drivers
- Xorg.0.log doesn't show any difference
- Using a different system (i.e. a not very updated Archlinux) makes the
problem disappear
- If left button isn't working also tapping won't work (depsite having
enabled it) and if I hot-plug an usb mouse also the mouse left button doesn't
work
- Restarting X (Ctrl-Alt-Del) with the USB mouse plugged makes the tap (and
the mouse left button) work again
- Mouse is configured for right handed
- Malfunctioning starts before logging in
I'll attach (as soon as I find out how ) the Xorg log and xorg.conf.
Sorry I'm not aware on any way to reproduce it... it happens just at
random
