Title:
Implicit multiplication
Status in “gcalctool” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Implicit multiplication appears to have higher precedence than
division:
6/2(1+2) = 1
However no other calculator does that - implicit multiplication should
be the same precedence as division, so:
6/2(1+2) = 6/2 * 3 = 3 * 3 = 9
If using explicit multiplication, gcalctool is correct:
6/2×(1+2) = 9
