Hmmm, I was fairly sure I added the PPA, it's in my sources.list. I did another apt-get update and dist-upgrade this morning though and the Xorg build date didn't change, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I can tarball up the Xorg.0.logs as they are if you wish but I'm not sure if they would be of any use to you?
Having said all that, the problem for me has gone away since 1st March. Up to that I was getting the (to paraphrase) "running in low res mode"error most of the time on start up. I wonder would my dpkg log from that date be of any use to you?
