I'm very confused now:

after having installed the latest 3.8.0.11 kernel, and rebooted, that
.gvfs file is now gone. So you seems right about a "leftover" pushed by
the previous 3.8.0.10 kernel (i might say that file had not catched my
attention before, probably due to its inexistance).

Have tried to find something wrong logged, but nothing i can see. But
/run/user/user/gvfs/ folder is empty: is it normal ? does its working
like a tmp folder ?

So you probably can set that report as invalid.

Title:
  /home/user/.gvfs unreadable

Status in “gvfs” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Genuine standard RR i386 installation, logged as gnome-classic
  (fallback)

Into /home/user/.gvfs , when i check that file properties, i get:

  - Basic tab : Content unreadable, Volume unknown
  - Permissions tab : The permissions of ".gvfs" could not be determined.

I've reinstalled the "gvfs" related packages, but still get the same
issues. Using dpkg-reconfigure does not help.

So that file needs to be chowned, but i get:

  oem@oem-desktop:~$ sudo chown oem:oem ~/.gvfs
chown: changing ownership of ‘/home/oem/.gvfs’: Function not implemented
