This is fixed upstream in liferea v1.8.7 - see
http://sourceforge.net/p/liferea/bugs/836/.

Raring currently has liferea 1.8.10, so the fix will is available there,
but I'm not sure if or when it would be backported, especially since the
main driver for this fix (Google Reader) is being shut down.

Title:
Google Reader source loses subscriptions moved to it

Status in “liferea” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: liferea

When using a GOogle Reader source in Liferea, moving a feed
subscription to the source seems to work OK (it shows up in the UI and
I can read it there), however, when the Google Reader source is first
  updated, the subscription vanishes.

Note: This causes data loss, as all the 'read'/'important' flags from
the subscription are lost in the process.
