When KMS is enabled, my laptop screen remains blank. However, if I plug in a VGA screen, it works perfectly (and the laptop screen remains blank). When KMS is disabled, this screen seems to work perfectly, but on X will not start. The problem seems to come from the driver xf86-video-intel, because my graphics card is an Intel GMA 4500M. I tried to run a livecd, but it also fails to display anything after the boot screen.
