Editing equations in LibreOffice Impress inevitability results in a
silent application crash. Sometimes the crash is immediate.
Sometimes the crash occurs several minutes later.
/var/log/syslog consistently reports:

at 20 ip 00007f442fb74541 sp 00007fff264ae3e0 error 4 in
libgio-2.0.so.0.3400.1[7f442fad1000+14e000]
