Still present in 12.04. Any chance to get it fixed?

Title:
  EOG hangs in Ubuntu 12.04

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-intel” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
When I try to open some images using Eye Of Gnome in Ubuntu 12.04
using a gnome session, the screen freezes, the mouse does not move.
Ctrl+Alt+F1, F2, ecc does not work. As far as I know, the only way to
unfreeze the screen is to restart gdm from a ssh session.

I report this bug here as suggested in
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eog/+bug/877279
