Title:
usb-modswitch segfaults (due to libc version conflict?)
Status in “usb-modeswitch” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
....
sd 8:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg7 type 0
sd 8:0:0:0: [sdg] Attached SCSI removable disk
show_signal_msg: 45 callbacks suppressed
usb_modeswitch_[6067]: segfault at 0 ip 00007fed729a4101 sp 00007fffff6fc738
error 4 in libc-2.15.so[7fed7291b000+1b5000]
This happens totally reproducible (100%) on any 12.10 that I have at
the moment of plugging in broadband modem D-Link DWM-156 A6.
I reported it on usb-switch forum and was encouraged to file it
against the distribution.
