changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test

apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

Bug description:
Following an upgrade of my LTS server from Lucid to Precise, my
standard locale (fi_FI.UTF-8) can no longer be set. 'locale' and
'perl' -based scripts all report:
locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: Tiedostoa tai hakemistoa
ei ole
(which means: file or directory not found)
Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
Using the fallback 'C' locale.
Yet, I have the following installed:
