Confirmed! I launched BUM, and lightdm was not selected. I activated it,
rebooted, and everything is back to normal (the graphical login goes on
normally). Hope this helps!

Bug description:
  When booting the Kubuntu 13.04 daily-image (2013-02-07) over the
  network (pxe/netboot), lightdm fails to start automatically. There is
  no mention of lightdm in the syslog, and if you start lighdm manually
  it starts without errors.

  What happend: Got to tty1, lightdm doesn't seem to even try to start.
