Title:
New dash animation ("glide") reverts after moving a maximized window
via "spread"
Status in Unity:

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
NOTE: I am tentatively filing this bug report against unity --
however, it may just be a compiz bug. Please move if I mis-filed the
report.
What was expected:
================
Windows would always minimize using the new "glide" animation (new as of
12.10, that is).
What happened instead:
===================
When a window is maximized, then moved by dragging in "spread" mode, THEN
minimized, the animation reverts back to the snappy "vanishing" animation.
This remains the case until the window is restored, after which point the
animation returns to normal.
Steps to reproduce:
================
On a machine running fully update Ubuntu 12.10:
1. Open a new firefox window
2. Unmaximize it (if maximized)
3. Minimize the window (note the normal glide animation)
4. Maximize the window (noting again the normal glide animation)
5. Open the desktop spread (Super+S)
6. Drag the firefox window to another workspace, release it, drag it back to
the original workspace, then exit spread mode
7. Minimize the firefox window (note that the "glide" animation is gone, and
instead the window simply disappears)
Conclusion:
=========
This is a low-priority bug, unrelated to anything save the user experience
and aesthetics.
