Ok, I purged Libreoffice and reinstalled it, and the problem has gone.
So we'll never know what happened, but it's kind of fixed for me...

Libreoffice crashes when using Autofilter in Calc

Bug description:
In latest Raring, LO Calc will freeze and leave Unity/Compiz broken if
you try to use autofilter.
Way to reproduce:
1) open lo calc
2) get any content (for example, type test in cell A1)
3) go to Data/filter/autofilter
4) click on the list
5) freeze
Here is the output I get if launching lo from the terminal:
