Title:
Network Disconnected - you are now offline
Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
At each boot on the login id screen, before typing any password, I get
the following message:
Network
Disconnected - you are now offline
This is followed after a few seconds by
Wired Connection 1
Connection Established.
This behaviour is reproducible for each boot.
It occurs on BIOS version A09 2/1/2013 of a Dell Inspiron 660 machine.
If the BIOS version is A05 to A08, the problem does NOT occur.
Dell tech support claim BIOS versions cannot be rolled back.
