This is certainly not caused by NetworkManager, we've had similar issues before, they are usually caused by the pm-utils package. Regardless, it is a bug in the driver if power management makes it lose connections or unable to connect (thus I'm reassigning this to the linux package).
As a workaround, please try to remove or disable the following script: /usr/lib/pm-utils/power.d/wireless Thanks! ** Package changed: network-manager (Ubuntu) => linux (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/819239 Title: NetworkManager turn-on power managment of wireless Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I turn off the power managment of wireless network with the command: sudo iwconfig wlan0 power off after some minutes the power managment return to on and the connection to network failed.
