Title:
[MS-7522, Realtek ALC889, Green Line Out, Rear] No sound at all

Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
This regressed in the last two weeks or so. I have been using the
Pangolin beta (and alphas) without incident with regard to sound, but
after having come back from vacation and updating to the final release
  I have lost all sound.

I updated my machine relatively frequently during the beta, but the
absolute latest update I could have had applied before getting the
final version was on April 16th, 2012.
