nm-applet stops working sometimes
Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Sometimes I discover that nm-applet stops functioning. I'm attaching
how it looks when I try to start a VPN, it is just blank. No VPN
connections listed.
Also, choosing nm-applet then Connection Information & Edit
Connections does not work. Nothing happens when I click them.
Workaround: restarting with killall nm-applet && nm-applet &
