Title:
"Upload file" dialog does not see all image files

Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  What happened:
If a website allows the user to upload an image, the file upload dialog does
not show all image files.

  Preparation:
  - Create a folder named "bugtest"
  - Copy a JPEG photo in that folder, name it "first.jpg"
  - Copy another JPEG photo in that folder, name it "second.JPG" (notice the
capital letters)

  Steps to reproduce:
  - Click https://www.marktplaats.nl/syi/plaatsAdvertentie.html
  - Click the first item on all of the three lists "Kies groep", "Kies
subgroep" and "Kies rubriek"
  - Scroll down to "3. Upload tot 8 foto's"
  - Click on the blue camera image on the left
  - Navigate to the folder "bugtest"

You will only be able to select "first.jpg", since "second.JPG" is not
  displayed.

No try to change the file type dropdown menu in the lower right
corner: it shows "Image files" and can not be changed to "all files".

So it is impossible to upload JPEG images with an extension in capital
  letters without renaming them before.

  Expected behaviour:
  - Images are selectable independent of their extension
  - file type can be changed to "all files"
