Title:
jockey-backend after latest update to kernel 2.6.27-11

Status in “jockey” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
After the latest update to kernel 2.6.27-11.27 on Ubuntu 8.10, I get
this crash whenever I try to connect to a wireless network. The end
result is that my wireless is broken as it won't connect to any AP.
Wireless card is an intel 3945. The previous releases of 2.6.27-11 did
  not have this problem.

Auto mounting of drives also no longer works.

Reverting to a previous kernel does not fix the problem. Perhaps it is
  an issue with backports modules?

  Manually running jockey-gtk results in:
