Title:
Jockey can't fetch STA drivers for Broadcom

Status in “jockey” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: jockey-gtk

  1. What I expected to happen

When I click on the hardware driver to activate it, Ubuntu installs
the appropriate driver so I can use my wireless card. An internet
connection should not be necessary, since the driver is what I need to
  get an internet connection.

  2. What actually happened

When I clicked on the hardware driver to activate it, Ubuntu tells me
  "Failed to fetch
  http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/p/patch/patch_2.6-2_i386.deb
  Could not resolve 'archive.ubuntu.com'"

  The driver does not install.

  3. The minimal series of steps necessary to make it happen, where step
  1 is "start the program"

Boot up the Ubuntu Lucid Alpha 3 CD on an HP Mini 1120nr (or other computer
with a Broadcom 4312 wireless card).
Click on System > Administration > Hardware Drivers
  Click STA driver
  Click Activate
