Please bring back kde-firefox-support. This fixes KDE integration for Firefox and Thunderbird. Without this, it leaves Nautilus as a running process which in itself creates another bug. Nautilus is such an aggressive application that it will try to take over the desktop.
Why are Kubuntu users treated as red-headed stepchildren? (No offense to red-heads or stepchildren; it's an expression.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to thunderbird in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/49568 Title: Thunderbird KDE-integration Status in “mozilla-thunderbird” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in “thunderbird” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: By default, Thunderbird doesn't use KDE-dialogs when running under Kubuntu, which can be changed by editing /usr/lib/mozilla- thunderbird/components/nsFilePicker.js like described for Firefox in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=110353 . This is quite some pain, since it has to be done every time Thunderbird gets updated. The preferable solution would be to supply a Thunderbird-KDE- integration-package, or at least putting nsFilePicker.js under /etc/[mozilla-]thunderbird/, so that user-made changes won't get wasted after each update. Btw, in Thunderbird 1.0.x one could "dpkg-reconfigure mozilla- thunderbird" to manually update the Thunderbird Chrome Registry to enable changes made in nsFilePicker.js, which unfortunately doesn't work for Thunderbird 1.5.x anymore :-( See also https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/43238 as this applies to Firefox as well.
