I can confirm this bug still exists in 12.10. Can we get a fix, please? It's been almost 3 years since it was reported. Using a laptop without knowing how much battery you have is about as fun as driving a car without knowing the amount of gasoline you have remaining...

This leads to a wrong computation of the percentage value of the battery. Despite this the value of "Time to empty" is computed correctly (currently 2.1 h). The values of "Energy (design)" (currently 50.2 Wh) and "Energy" (currently 43.4 Wh) seem to be correct. If this happens only a restart can solve the problem and the value of "Energy when full" seems correct.
