In case it helps others: In Raring my ASUS EP121 still has no hint of simulated
2nd click using the egalax touchscreen, but it works (mostly) using the stylus
(Wacom). Mine may be different bug as it works best after fresh reboot &
sometimes stops working later... the opposite to that reported by others above.
Probably not related, but the egalax screen has begun to recognise simple
gestures - single and double finger scroll only, and only in a couple of apps.
This bug isn't urgent for me personally as I've recently bought a stylus with a
button.
btw - thanx heaps to all who work on these things.

Title:
Simulated Secondary click sometimes stops working after reboot even
  though it's still enabled

Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
When I enable the Simulated Right-Click feature, it works, but after
turning off my laptop and turning it on again, the option still says
"ON" but does not work. I have to turn it off, then on again. Then it
  seems to work. Hmmmmm...

This may also help: Ubuntu does not recognize my PowerBook G4 as a laptop, so
apm also has some suspend+restore problems.
