This still seems to be an Issue in 12.04, causing the gnome panel to get killed
whn connecting via xrdp/sesman.
The following log is from .xsession-errors, after connecting from a windows
machine to the server running prety much only software from the LTS version.

whether i put "export XKL_XMODMAP_DISABLE=1" in my .xsession or /etc/xrdp/ is
of no relevance.
Starting gnome-panel manually after works fine.
Is there any additional material i can supply?
