Title:
Startup notification not suppressed when launching while already open
Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Ubuntu Software Center 1.0.2, Ubuntu 9.10
Ubuntu Software Center 1.1.12, Ubuntu Lucid
1. From the Applications menu, launch Ubuntu Software Center.
2. From the Applications menu, launch Ubuntu Software Center again.
What happens:
1. As soon as the USC window appears, the "Starting Ubuntu Software Center"
button disappears from the window list.
2. The existing instance requests attention, but isn't focused. The "Starting
Ubuntu Software Center" button stays around for 15 seconds, and the cursor
stays in busy state too.
What should happen:
2. The existing instance should be focused
<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareCenter#Launching>, and the "Starting Ubuntu
Software Center" button should disappear instantly.
