Unity Dash is very slow after update

Bug description:
I have the proposed updates turned on and I noticed an Xorg update
last week. After that upgrae, I noticed that when I push the "windows"
button to open the dash where I can type a name of an application to
launch becomes very slow. In addition, Alt+Tab becomes very slow as
well.
I booted 13.04 from USB and tried and it didn't have those problems.
