Title: shutdown process slows down when connected to a network Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: In 12.10 and 13.04 in which remote login is available, the shutdown process slows down when connected to a network, whether through LAN or Wi-Fi. For example, my slow netbook shuts down with 13.04 in 2-3 seconds when not connected to a network, but when connected it takes 12-13 seconds. Pressing Esc on quite splash I could see "modem-manager" takes more than 1 second to end the processes, so I fully removed the package and the config file (/etc/init/modemmanager.conf) to check the result. No change. Since modem-manager is dependent on network-manager and stops when network-manager stops, the problem should be with network-manager itself. The network-manager version is 0.9.7.995+git201301311547.17123fc- 0ubuntu1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1145737/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
