You have been subscribed to a public bug: After setting a screen lock timeout of, for example, 1 hour the screen still locks after approx 10 minutes.
Looking at the code it appears gnome-screensaver puts an upper bound on the lock timeout of 480 seconds (8 minutes), so user preferences of 1 hour will not function as expected. I see no reason for an upper bound of 8 minutes, and this contradicts the available options anyway. I have built a fixed version in my PPA: https://launchpad.net/~andrew- betts/+archive/misc ** Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-screensaver locks after approx 10 minutes even if user settings are specify longer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/859396 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in Ubuntu. -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
