  [Conexant ID 5067] ALSA test tone not correctly played back

Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  This problem just started happening. Sound entirely cuts out while listening 
to music, videos, ect.. Headphones work fine, but no speaker sounds at all. A 
reboot always fixes it. Seems like after the last update to 2.6.32-24
  I have a dual boot with  Windows 7 and this does not happen in windows
