Using Ubuntu 13.04

dmesg:
...
[15216.600624] usb 4-2: new full-speed USB device number 14 using ohci_hcd
[15216.840853] usb 4-2: New USB device found, idVendor=0763, idProduct=2012

Then I run
sudo modprobe -r snd-usb-audio
sudo modprobe snd-usb-audio

and dmesg:

but still no signal on input monitor level.

Title:
no input signal in pavcontrol for m-audio fast track pro

Status in “pulseaudio” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:

I was hoping m-audio fast track pro usb audio input was fixed.

It's not so, audio input in pulseaudio doesn't give any signal for the
  microphone's input.

In the sound-card it is possible to see that there's a microphone
  input signal.

I upgraded to latest generic 3.5.22 kernel.

Something supposed to work that doesn't work still. I just would like
to help resolving the problem, for this reason i sended this as a bug
of pulseaudio. i'm not sure where is the problem, but I'm sure there's
no input signal in pavucontrol, while i would like to see the
microphone signal moving as a blue line in pavucontrol (as for any
  signal in input).

  thanks for your work
