If the USB stick has a FAT or FAT32 filesystem, then individual files on
it cannot be bigger than 4GB (this is a filesystem limitation, not a
Linux issue).

Title:
nautilus fails to copy single file > 4GB to usb stick

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I have tried to copy a single .iso image from /home/user/Downloads to
  a usb stick.

On ending I got the error message that the file is to big to get
  consolidated on the stick.

  Enough space was available(16GB).

I have used a openSUSE12.2 64bit dvd image for transfer.
