Title:
  Can't download software because of a "No Internet Connection" error,
  despite being able to browse the web

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  when I try to install a software from the software manager it shows
  the message it couldn't download the packet and to check my internet
  connection, but I can browse the net normally.  when I installed
  ubuntu it was an older version and I rapidly updated it with my
  Internet connection and was able to download and install some programs
  but ever since 2 weeks ago I can't install anything.
