Public bug reported: I'm running Ubuntu 13.04 on my Toshiba Satellite A505-S6960 laptop, and I noticed an incredibly annoying problem sometimes when I let my screen lock and I try to get back in.
If I enter my password correctly, most of the time I'll just be taken to a solid black screen. Once I move the mouse, the lock screen appears again asking for my password. When this happens, the only way I can get back into my desktop is to keep repeatedly trying to unlock until it finally lets me in (after about 3 - 7 tries). Once I'm back in the desktop, a crash report for gnome-screensaver comes up asking if I want to report it. No indication of any associated bug report is given with it, however, which is why I'm reporting this manually. ** Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: raring -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1199510 Title: Attempting to unlock sometimes goes to solid black screen Status in “gnome-screensaver” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I'm running Ubuntu 13.04 on my Toshiba Satellite A505-S6960 laptop, and I noticed an incredibly annoying problem sometimes when I let my screen lock and I try to get back in.
