Cancel button durring download is slow and caused error message

Bug description:
Booted laptop from fresh USB 10.10 live image. I was going to let
jockey install the video drivers automaticly but the Internet was VERY
slow. I decided to cancel, and install later. I clicked cancel and
nothing happened. (seemingly) Download progress seemed to stop but the
window didn't go away. Then about 10 minutes later it seems, I was
logging into launchpad and the progress window disappeared and an
error was displayed.
I think the cancel button should work faster without error. :)
