eeePC 1000H touchpad sticky

Bug description:
I double-tap on the touchpad and drag to select text. I lift the
finger so the text should remain selected ready to eg be copied.
Suppose I move the mouse pointer to click a Copy icon. The selected
text area changes exactly as if I never lifted the finger. It feels
like I should wait longer with the finger lifted, but I already give
it more than enough time. Very annoying as it disrupts the workflow.
