Title:
File Open can't Open a http resource
Status in GTK+ GUI Toolkit:
Fix Released
Status in One Hundred Paper Cuts:
New
Status in “gtk+3.0” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
When you use File - Open and the Nautilus file dialog appears and you paste a
URL into the location (e.g. to Open an image from the web in GIMP or a HTML
page in gEdit or or or) NOTHING happens. On Windows a HTTP connection is opened
and the resource retrieved. Really annoying.
