Title:
printer recognized, scans, but DOESN'T PRINT! HELP! PLEASE!
Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
I have a Canon Pixma MP540 printer. OK, not the best or most modern,
but it did work [after MUCH work!!!!! - hours of] in Ubuntu 11.04.
Since I've upgraded to 12.04.2 [a few months ago] I have been UNABLE
to find a fix. I see many suggested on the internet, but they either
are for other Cannon models, too complex for me to figure out what is
being suggested, or don't work. it is a real pain to have to reboot to
Windoz to print something! Any pointers on how to solve this problem
or new updates on Ubuntu's end would be most appreciated. The printer
is recognized and scans fine....but every print job just winds up in
the print que forever.
