Network manager sends CHAP response in wrong format

Bug description:
Binary package hint: network-manager-pptp
Chap response to server is sent in wrong format. There are four
backslashes in $SERVER\\$USERNAME field as there should only be two.
See attached pppd.log
There is no problem if I initiate the connection manually using pon
command.
