Bug description:
Using lightdm rather than gdm and then logging into the ubuntu session
on r600 hardware, unity_support_test seems to time out, with
.xsession-errors reporting:
gnome-session[4407]: WARNING: Session 'ubuntu' runnable check failed:
Timed out
Running unity-support-test -p gives the following output:

When using gdm instead, the ubuntu session, and unity, and hardware
rendering all work fine.
Potentially related to this is the fact that, currently, while using
chromium and gnome-terminal under unity-2d, lightdm is using 80-100%
of my cpu time (according to top).
