  gnome-panel crashed with SIGSEGV in g_signal_emit_valist()

  Not sure what to add it just popped up. The date and time no longer
  display at the top right in gnome flashback. And the entire top panel
  except where Applications and Places is displayed is an off white
  color as well as the middle of the bottom panel.
