Oh my f****ng god. There's a "page setup" tab where you can set a scaling for
the page that can be both below and above 100%, but then when you go to the
image settings which is where you see the preview, the preview does not take
into account the page scale, so what you see is not even close to what you are
going to print (unless page scale is 100%).
So you can print with increased size but you have to become insane calculating
what the hell the result will be (basically by printing and error: huge waste
of paper. Earth, say thanks to Ubuntu).

Title:
Can't print an image at more than 100% size (UNBELIEVABLE)

Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
NO IDEA WHAT PACKAGE THIS IS: I just chose "cups" because it's related
  to printing

  - open an image in the Image Viewer
  - do image/print
  - go to the "image settings" tab
  - try to amplify the image

  => YOU CAN'T!!!!!
The maximum is always 100%. Why? That's stupid. For MOST images moreover (any
image that was not scanned), there is no sensible notion of a physical size
(the dpi resolution is completely arbitrary), so the notion of 100% is totally
random.
Not being able to increase size to more than 100% is almost as huge as not
being able to print. It's among the most nonsense limits I've ever seen.

Maybe it's somewhere else, perhaps in "advanced", but it should be
possible from this very tab. Wher you can reduce size, you must also
  be able to increase it.
