Don't know about jack detection, but its a pretty new chassis:

I've tried both HD and AC97 on the front panel (switching cables and
bios setting) and also the green 3.5mm line output on the motherboard.
This report was sent while I was testing AC97 to check if it might be
the HDA that was problematic.
