I'm not sure it's the role of LXDE devs to validate every applications.
If gnome-terminal authors or maintainers set OnlyShowIn=GNOME, I
understand it as "It's only work well under GNOME environment. If they
consider now that it can work on LXDE without problem, they should add
the LXDE in the list of the OnlyShowIn themselves. Lubuntu Devs are not
against adding it, but we didn't test gnome-terminal enough under LXDE
to validate its good behavior.

Title:
  Missing start menu entry

Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

  I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 dev and gnome-terminal 2.32.1-0ubuntu3 and
there is no start menu entry. I think for such an important thing
  should be an entry there.
