Bug description:
  Appearance of Places and Applications Dash launchers have obsolete
  old-style monochrome icons in grey colors, similar to very first
  Humanity tray icons. IMO it look inconsistant and they should be
  redone in new monochrome color hue like current indicator applets are
  made...

  
  EDIT: On second thought, i thing there should be really only one dash in 
Unity. You should really merge them like i suggest in this rant in bug 730171
